    The Tuckaseigee Water & Sewer Authority is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Finance Director. Performs complex professional and difficult administrative work planning, organizing, and directing the financial activities of the Authority. Distinguishing Features of the Class: An employee in this class plans and directs the disbursement and accounting of revenues and expenditures for the Authority. Work involves supervision and participation in accounting, customer services, billing and collections, purchasing, accounts payable, capital project and grant accounting, fixed assets, payroll, human resources, and risk management for the Authority. In addition, the employee attends meetings of the Authority Board when requested to present financial reports and information and to serve as Treasurer to the Board. The employee advises the Executive Director and Board on budget and fiscal matters.     Full Time (40 Hours/week), entry level position, working on the construction, maintenance, and repair of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Involves heavy work and exposure to both indoor and outdoor conditions. Position is subject to periodic “On-Call” duties, as well as evening, weekend, and holiday “Call-Back” work in emergencies. Ability to obtain a North Carolina commercial driver's license. May require ability to successfully complete the training for grade C water distribution and/or grade I wastewater collection certification within 12 months of hiring, and successfully complete the test for same within 18 months. This full-time position has an expected starting salary of $14.63/hr with an expected 5% increase after 6 months.
